Blo | Blow Dry Bar

I went for my engagement photoshoot last month and needed to get my hair done. So I decided to go for the true Vancourite experiment and get a blow-out at Blo Dry Bar in Yaletown. The experience has left me impressed and definitely a return customer.

Blo Dry Bar is a chain of salons that only do styling (ie: no haircuts or colour). They do blow-outs, up-dos, even fit you for your extensions. All services last approximately 30 minutes. You can book your appointment over the phone or online.

I booked my appointment at the last minute, calling only one day ahead of time to see if there was any time for me. Even though it was prime prom/wedding season, they were able to get me in at their Yaletown location at a great time just before noon. (1150 Hamilton St).

My stylist was awesome. She was chatty but very fast and focused. I could only give her a vague explanation of what I was looking for ("volume, but not big, like how the celebrities look" "straight but with flippy ends") and she was able to give me exactly what I wanted.

Everything literally took half an hour and $30 before tip and we were done! I looked like I had stolen Jennifer Aniston's stylist, which... if you knew me and my birds nest of hair, is utterly incredible! Awesome job and even more awesome price! I'll definitely be back. Perhaps for my stagette.
