New locations announced! Calgary, Morgan Crossing, San Fran and 2 more in Toronto!
If you’re like many women you draw the line at hair care when it comes to scaling back on your beauty budget in the name of saving a penny. Luckily, some very savvy industry types have taken the lead in opening blow dry salons in some of the major cities in Canada.
Already a popular staple in the states, blow dry salons aren’t meant for highly complicated highlights and shearing, but instead cater to the woman who just wants to get her hair washed and styled and preferably in as little time as possible (sometimes fast and cheap can be good!). Maybe you have a date or a big job interview or you just need a pick-me-up and your regular stylist is booked--well, it’s blow dry salon to the rescue.
We headed over to Blo Dry Bar in mid-town Toronto to see if this revolving-door treatment was really worth writing home about (a Vancouver transplant, the Blo franchise plans to open another location in Toronto’s Four Seasons Hotel). There, Scotch Mommy chose a style from their pre-determined menu called “The Hollywould” and was treated to one helluva hairstyle (remnants of which remained for at least a full day later thanks to the styling products: Over Achiever volumizer and The Smoothie smoothing cream). All in all, she was very happy with the results. Watch our video below to see for yourself.
