and growing in Austin, Toronto & California x2
BLO MIDTOWN & BLO BRICKELL
ARE NOW OPEN IN MIAMI!
It is wonderful be a part of the cultural renaissance that is taking part in the City of Miami, it is even better to watch how the world is really starting to notice our growth. In a recent LA Times article, they graciously highlighted all that is going on in our fair city, and this coming from a city that truly has a lot to speak of on their
own right. We have new museums being constructed and large donations being made to our cultural centers to
bring these dreams of expansion to life.
Recently, the Midtown Miami area won the honor of being named one of the best neighborhoods to dine in, by “Eater” magazine. As we watch the expansion of the Wynwood Art scene exploding through the conversations taking place at these new restaurants we are delighted to see that businesses in the surrounding areas take charge and are proactive in supporting the local artists and location that they have chosen to represent them as their home base and creative space.
The new “Blo - Blow Dry Bar” in Midtown, Miami will showcase another new artistic arrival, on January 25th. “Art of Blo” with Mindy Linkous, an artist that truly brings to her art the classics stars of past. Using a unique style, she’s has recreated some our most beloved icons such as, Jackie Gleason & Frank Sinatra having a conversation at a dinner table, most likely after a successful event of their own, another great piece is Keith Richards at a kitchen table working on some new material and enjoying some downtime, the creation of these pieces, truly gives you a glimpse into a time and a place where most anybody would’ve pay big money to join them at that very moment.
What we enjoy the most, in watching all of this truly take shape in our Miami art scene, is that events, such as the new “Art of Blo” monthly artistic event and the artists that will be showcased regularly in the Midtown area, is a reflection of why they choose to bring their talents and their business to Miami in the first place, to be a part of it.
So the national and global headlines, in our opinion, are just the beginning. As more art fairs and businesses
create a presence and take advantage of what we have always known, we believe, as the old saying goes, “Build
it and they will come”, Will hold true today, as it did the first time it was whispered.
