With her mother, 24-year-old Brooks developed Blo Blow Dry Bar-a store she conceptualized for a class assignment at the London College of Fashion (she received a mark of 98 percent for the pitch). She's also recently signed on as innovation director for the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs.
Best tip: "Keep your eyes on the horizon; sometimes life brings so many twists and turns, it shakes your compass."
Goal: To see Blo, which currently has 10 locations throughout Ontario, British Columbia and California, operating internationally.
