Blo | Blow Dry Bar

TIFF is finally here. Anyone close to me knows my freakish obsession with director Atom Egoyan (I once waited for nine hours to get him to sign my copy of Exotica. LOO-ser!) so his new film, Chloe (starring Julianne Moore) is at the top of my list, along with Precious and The Young Victoria (after watching Sunshine Cleaning this weekend, I've decided she's my new girl crush.)

Anyway. With celebrities descending on the city, the supply of red carpet hair will have to keep up with the demand of the Blackberry-wielding, It-bag-carrying, well-heeled set. The well-known Vancouver-based blow dry bar, aptly named Blo, has just opened its second Toronto location, just in time for this beauty conundrum. Interestingly enough, it's located in the swish Four Seasons Hotel on 21 Avenue Road, a prime spot for celeb spotting. This 'mini-bar' is four chairs (a downsize from their standard eight). Book a smoothing session, share some goss with Penélope Cruz? Stranger things have happened. Like when Atom talked about his Oscar nomination over poached eggs. Not. really.
