'blo' jobs and lash dips

Beauty junkies, take note. Calgary has two new offerings to pamper yourself until your heart’s content.

Blo Blow Dry Bar is the first of its kind in the city and is hosting its grand opening on Thursday, Oct. 21. It’s the largest blow dry chain in North America. There’s already locations popping up in Hollywood and Orlando and now the franchise is taking up residence at 1317 1st St. S.W.

Guys can also go in for a blo job (minds out of the gutter) with Blo Bro, which includes a 20-minute scalp massage, wash and style. As one of their many tongue-in-cheek slogans state, “You can’t blo yourself,” so take a peek at www.blomedry.com for all the details.

The second is Blo’s equally fabulous neighbour, Lola Lash Bar, which can be found at the same location, with its doors opening Thursday, October 21. It’s Calgary’s first and only lash bar, offering semi-permanent eyelash extensions, among other services including a LashDip. The website is still in the works, but in the mean time, “like” Lola Lash Bar on Facebook. For future reference, the website is www.lolalashbar.com.
